Group discussions
What I can contribute at this stage:
The new National Library building has a number of beading art pieces.
I have already taken some pictures of these.
My suggestion is to get in touch with the different artists, publish their details on our blog, perhaps ask them to leave comments on our blog or contribute in some way?
Furthermore, I looked into the possibility of a partnership with the Marketing Dept. of the NLSA. The Marketing Manager has agreed to the idea that our group publishes a little brochure on the different beading art pieces in the library – or postcards, instead of a brochure.
We will have to get a sponsorship to cover the publication.

Project outline
The broad outline of the project is to create a database/portal on South African traditional beading. The Web site will offer resources, services, mailing lists, directory information, chat groups, links to other Web sites, etc. on the particular topic of traditional South African beading.Initial tasks will include individual research by group members (i.e. visits to local museums and libraries, the National Research Foundation, related associations, etc.).
